Video Team Launches Mobile Media

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Video Team, a provider of ethnically diverse adult entertainment, has released its new iPod-friendly media download center, allowing customers with an iPod or similar portable media device to purchase scenes from their favorite Video Team movies.

The new e-commerce enabled site allows customers to pay for scenes, which they can then download and view on their players.

“We've had some takers, which bodes well for the enterprise as a whole,” Video Team President Christian Mann told XBiz of the reaction to the new media center. “We're trying to stay a step ahead and offer today what we know [users] will want tomorrow. Last September, my teenage sons didn't know they would want video iPods but by December it was No. 1 on Santa's list.”

Mann said he’s had thoughts of incorporating a download center for more than a year, prompted by Sony’s introduction of its PSP players and the realization that Best Buy sells miniature video cartridges for just $60 per unit.

“My bet is that…once [customers] see and hear the clarity of the video and the audio they will realize that this is a viable means of watching porn, not just as a novelty, but as a legitimate masturbatory aid,” Mann explained. “I have visions of businessmen no longer needing to sneak porn on their office computer. [Now] they can step into the men's room stall, put on their earbuds, hold the player in the left hand and take care of their needs privately and discreetly.”

Site members also will soon have the option of purchasing the new iPod download membership package, a monthly subscription that provides members access to Video Team’s entire library of iPod formatted movies, as they become available.

“As a prominent financial institution is fond of saying in their ads: ‘Membership has its rewards,’” Mann said. “Both packages already feature selected free iPod compatible downloads, but nothing like the availability of scenes we will offer on the down-low download package. We will eventually offer an all access membership offering the whole enchilada, including unlimited downloads for handheld players.”

Specifically, Mann said, the down-low download package, available for $34.99 or $2.99 per download, targets viewers who want to put together a library of scenes formatted for handheld devices.

Additionally, the traditional site membership is available for $24.99 per month and includes access to photo-galleries, free live streaming of Video Team movies for desk-top platforms, live-cams, model directories, chatrooms, previews of unreleased content and behind-the-scenes footage of photo shoots and movie sets. The mega-membership offers the same features, but only one fee is required to access eight different sites.

“I predict an exciting future,” Mann said. “As long as people want porn and techies find new ways to deliver it, we will make it our business to offer our content in any and all media imaginable. Eventually we will stream our stuff directly into your brain – we just have to figure out a billing mechanism.”

Sites currently available to members include VideoTeam.com, ClubCryStalkNight.com, XXXDaisy.com, DeeXXX.com, IndiasClubHouse.com, LaceyXXX.com, ClubLoriaLexia.com, CoreyJordan.com and DavidAaronClark.com.
